Tannas Co. earns ISO 9001 Certification

Following a comprehensive audit of its quality policies, procedures and records, Tannas was awarded a Certificate of Compliance to all 20 elements of the international quality standard ISO 9001. Tannas and sister companies, Savant and the Institute of Materials, received certification from ABS Quality Evaluations, Inc. on May 5, 1998.

ISO 9001 certification means that Tannas has been audited by an independent registrar and found to be in compliance with the detailed requirements of the ISO 9001 standard for quality. Each of 20 audited elements of Tannas' quality management system—such as purchasing, instrument design, inspection, servicing and corrective action—is the subject of a written policy and procedure describing how we meet the requirements of the standard and who is responsible for each aspect of the work.
